We’ve all heard the age-old fashion rule “don’t wear white after Labor Day” about a million times. So…why don’t you listen to that advice and bust out your best all white pieces for these last days of summer.
Ok, if you know me then you know that I have a love for denim (psst…there’s even a whole blog about it). Because of this, I finally caved and bought another pair of jeans, but this time in an off-white color that is perfect for the final days of summer, but also make for a great transition into your fall wardrobe. I paired my new jeans with a simple graphic tee from one of the best burger joints in MSP and my trusty pair of black Converse high tops.
Another super simple way to rock white before Labor Day is through one of my secret weapons of the summer: bandanas. As I’ve discussed before, they provide a simple upgrade to any outfit and give your look an instant summery upgrade. The best part about bandanas? They are a cheap accessory that you can pick up at almost any big box store and can be found in any color known to man.
The final way in which I am taking advantage of my “final” days to wear white is through my brand new Adidas Continental 80s. These kicks just dropped in July and have quickly become my new favorite shoe. Not only do they have that classic, vintage style that I love, but they also feel like a fresh addition to my shoe collection. Pair them with some jeans for a more casual look, or dress them up by wearing them with a navy suit to the office.
While the number of days of summer, and days to wear white, are fleeting, don’t worry. You can still take advantage and rock your favorite all white pieces with plenty of time to spare. Don’t forget to show me these white hot summer looks on Instagram using #connexionstyle.
Until next time!
